Server platforms we review
The server category includes 1U, 2U, and 4U rack systems, blade chassis, high-density nodes, and microservers. Equipment may be submitted in working, incomplete, or retired condition; include condition details so the lot can be reviewed accurately.
Common platform families include Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Supermicro, Cisco UCS, and Lenovo ThinkSystem. Listing a manufacturer does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
- Rack and blade servers
- High-density compute nodes
- Mixed-generation server lots
- Systems with or without drives installed
What to include in a server valuation request
A spreadsheet or typed inventory is enough to start. Include manufacturer, model, quantity, CPU configuration when known, memory, installed drives, condition, and the equipment location. Photos can help clarify chassis and configuration details.
For a full rack or data-center project, note whether the equipment is already disconnected, how it is staged, and any access or timing requirements. The project plan is confirmed before equipment moves.
Valuation, data, and logistics are scoped per project
After reviewing the equipment list, National Tech Buyers can discuss an offer and the applicable pickup or freight plan. Offers, payment terms, and any packing or on-site requirements are confirmed in writing.
Servers may contain business data. Specify whether drives are installed and what sanitization or destruction documentation your organization requires. NIST SP 800-88 is a reference for discussing methods; it is not a claim that National Tech Buyers is certified to that standard.
